And as mentioned already, DeKalb Co SO continues to use the 9BPLE with the same excellent results. Same with the USBP when they were using the 9BPLE before switching to the 40SW 155JHP.

The improved P38 soon discontinued the 37mm cannon being replaced by a 20mm. The P39 Airacobra being obsolete for any European use went to the Soviet Union, still with the slow firing 37mm cannon.

Feb 15, 2004· Good article. Interesting that the ''Sentry'' bullet is not in common use in the US. Although the terminal ballistics and ability to penetrate windshields, etc. look good, there do not appear to be any data from real world encounters that I can find, at least in the US.

Dec 15, 2009· We were issued some made in France in a shape akin to these. They were designed to pierce body armor. My favorite was some 357 we tested, one was Teflon coated 357, that I suspect could be shot through the robber glass in a bank and reloaded....the other one had an explosive charge in the nose also 357.
